Jeanette, I recieved your message several days ago but couldn't respond because of technical difficulties. As I stated in my message board, I am trying to find any relatives or friends of my family from Huanimaro who have any knowledge of my mother,
Guadalupe Salazar, and my grandfather . I understand that my mother has a cousin's family still there. This cousin named
Natividad Perez (who married her own first cousin) now live in
California-- Montebello or East
Los Angeles. Natividad's mother may still be alive (in her 90's) living there. I don't know her name, but she is my grandfather's niece. My grandfather, Miguel
Robledo Salazar, was born around 1879. He left Huanimaro during the Mexican Revolution around 1913, when he was taken by the federal troops. My mother didn't see him again, until the early 1930's when she came to
Los Angeles as a married woman. I know my mother kept in touch and visited Huanimaro up until 1975. Many people from Huanimaro, relatives and friends, were part of my life as a child. Soon after I was born, my mother's great grandmother Ipolita
Tinoco Murillo, returned to Huanimaro around 1933. SHE WAS IN HER 90's.She was well known in that (then) very small town and, therefore, I believe if there are any people left from that era, they would probably know something about
Dona Ipolita or the
Robledo- Salazar family. I am interested in even the smallest bit of information there is. I hope your own inquiries will run across mine. Please write any messages to my e-mail address, since that is easiest access for me. Ofelia Esparza< e-mail>: oesparza@juno .com
