Vicente Resendiz, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 7, at
his daughter's home in Purcell. Services will be
7 p.m. Monday at Wadley's Funeral Chapel. Burial
will be in Mexico.

He was born Oct. 22, 1930, to Modesto and Ursula
Resendiz in Quitandeje Tasquillo Hidalgo, Mexico.

Mr. Resendiz has lived in Purcell since 2000, when
he came from Mexico where he was raised and attended
school. He was a carpenter who made windows and
doors in El Nona, Texas.

Mr. Resendiz was preceded in death by his parents
and wife.

Survivors include his children, Clemente Resendiz,
Esteban Resendiz and Gregoria Resendiz of Sulphur
Springs, Texas, Marcelina Resendiz, Joel Resendiz
and Efigenia Resendiz of Purcell, Felisia Resendiz
and Domingo Resendiz of Mexico, Juana Resendiz of
Missouri and Alicia Resendiz of Clarksville, Texas;
sisters Delfinna Ramirez and Guadalupa Ramirez; 31
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
