ESCOBAR - Estoy buscando informacion sobre los Escobar's que viviron cerca de Marfil or Guanajuato, en el Estado de Guanajuato (Mexico) para trabajar en las Minas de Plata en La Valenciana).

Ellos llegaron a Mexico de Espania cira de los 1700's a 1800's.

Solo tengo el siguiente informacion:

Bruno Escobar(o Escovar) se caso con Rosalia Ornelas. El tubo un hijo Lorenzo Escobar (o Escovar). Bruno esta mencionado en la acto de matrimonio, pero no tengo ninguno otro informacion sobre Bruno.

Lorenzo nacio cerca el año de 1835 y tambien, no tengo mas informacion para Lorenzo, su baptismo, acta de nacimiento, acta de muerte.

Lorenzo(o Lorenso) se caso con Agapita Lopes en Numaran, en el Estado de Michoacan (Mexico) en 01 DICIEMBRE 1858.

Tambien se que se caso otra ves con una senora que se llamo Cayetana y no tubieron hijos con Cayetana. My padre me dijo que Lorenzo murrio despues de 1900, porque mi abuelo lo conocio.

Sus decendientes vivieron en Numaran, Michoacan y en El Rancho de
Cerritos Blancos en el Estado de Guanajuato (cruzando el Rio Lerma).

ESCOBAR - I am looking for information on the Escobar's who lived around Marfil or Guanajuato, Guanajuato - Mexico to work in the Silver Mine La Valenciana).

They came to Mexico from Spain around the 1700's to 1800's.
The only info I have is the following:

Bruno Escobar(or Escovar) married Rosalia Ornelas. He had a son by the name of Lorenzo Escobar (or Escovar). Lorenzo was born around 1835. Bruno was mentioned in Lorenzo’s Marriage certificate, but I have no other information on him (i.e., birth, marriage, death, etc.).

Lorenzo(or Lorenso) married Agapita Lopes in Numaran, Michoacan on 01 DECEMBER 1858.

I also know that Lorenzo remarried later in life when Agapita died. He married a person by the name of Cayetana. I do not know her last name. They did not have kids with Cayetana. My father tells me that Lorenzo died after 1900, because my grandfather got to meet him.

Their desendants lived in Numaran, Michoacan and in El Rancho de
Cerritos Blancos in the State of Guanajuato (accross the Rio Lerma).

Any info on Bruno will be appreciated.

my uncles name is eleno mendoza. he married my aunt rosalva vera. we are all from ancihuacuaro michoacan. my mothers name is ana maria vera and my dads name antonio juarez.my parents were born in ancihuacuaro michoacan.

The only one I can remember that was Presidente Municipal is Adan Macias. I was good friends with his daughter Mayela, in high school and I know they left Venustiano Carranza. My friend got married and moved to Oklahoma. I lost contact with her so don't know if the rest of her family is also there. I hope this helps.

I was born in tangas, it's been over 4 yrs since i have last been there. My dad is from tangas and my mom is from La Planta. I have been in the u.s since I was 3. I grew up in Imperial Valley, Ca and now reside in San Diego, Ca. It's cool to see how migration of this town is not just in the border towns.

I am looking for information about my Grandparents. They were born, grew up, and were married in Tangancicuaro. Their names were Esther Delgado and Antonio Chavez. I am second generation American. My father Raul Chavez has (had?) an Uncle who we visited there 30 years ago. His name was Carlos Zamora. We traveled all through Mexico when I was a young girl and I remember strongly are visit to Tangancicuaro and the beauty and generosity of the people and the village. Hi, Angie. My family are also decendents of 'Los Melgoza.' In fact, my grandmother's name was Porfiria Melgoza and she was from 'Los Melgoza' a municipality of La Piedad, Michoacan. She married Aureliano Cazares and he was also from same town. My grandmothers' fathers' name was Tiburcio Megloza and his wife was Eufemia Aguilera. The town(known as a 'municipio) 'Los Melgoza' was named after them (los Melgoza) because they were the first to reside there, in other words, they started the town. I do know some family members who moved to and still live in Mexicali, Baja Calif., and the Los Angeles area and Miguel Melgoza from Madera, CA. You can look up Miguel Melgoza, he is also anxious to locate all the family members.

My name is Jessenia Lua and just like you, I too am curious about our last name. The only thing I know is that it could possibly be originated from the Arabs. But my father was very tall, dark, and had a full head of hair the day he died when he was 69 years old. He was also from Michoacan but retired until the day he died in Brawley, CA. I just saw your response, some times I do not get a Ancestry notification. Your family history is very interesting. Since I posted this information on Ancestry.com, I found that Margarita Torrez did not die till after 1925. Her son David Fernandez shows she is still living in the 1925 Iowa census. Murillo, possibly from Michoacan

I've been trying to find records for a Rosario Murillo. I found a "ship's manifest" establishing entry, dated July 31, 1907 for a Rosario Murillo. He states that his last permantent residence was from "GUORIGUERO, Mexico," but I cannot find any town by that name. A friend suggested to me that GUARIGUERO was part of El Paso, TX at one time, but since he lists El Paso as his destination, I have doubts about that. I was wondering if it might suggest something to do with the GUARI Indians of Michoacan? He also lists his town of birth as "LLOCOTA" which I cannot find, either. Some of the other passengers list such towns as San Francisco and Leon, so I thought it was possible that these young men all came from the same general area? Does anyone have any ideas?
