I don't have any information but I think that your grandfather is my Uncle. My father's name is John Cornwell and his older brother (who trained horses) was named Clifton Cornwell (as was his father). His other brother's names were Irving and Elmer and his sister's names were Nellie and Katherine. They're all from Philadelphia. Does any of that ring a bell?

The two different couples were married on the same day:
27-January-1947 in Tlaltizapan, Morelos, México.

I am searching for information on my g-pa Jesus Santoria Zamora Born: June 1904 in Puruandero, Michoacan, MX and died Nov. 1991 in California. He was married to Ramona Martinez Solorzano and they had 11 children, mostly raised in Orange Co., CA. My g-pa had a brother named Jose Santoya Zamora possibly married to Lupe and may have lived in the San Diego area. I don't know if they had children. They also had a sister by the name of Esther, but I don't have any information on her. If anyone could help with information or idea, please e-mail!

De casualidad encontre este POST, mi madre dice que conosia a tus abuelos Braulio y Rogelia. Lamentablemente no puede ser de gran ayuda con informacion de tu apellido, ademas de que ay bastante familia con el mismo apellido. Tambien dice que conose a tu tia Elva aqui en Houston, es hija de Cirenio y la señora Flora. Es todo lo que save, anque sean cosas que ya sabias. Solamente respondi porque lo pense un raro coincidencio encontrar a alguin que tambien tenga famila de Tlaxmalac y preguntas sobre ellas.

I am looking for an obituary and more information about ALVER ROWE DOBSON and his wife ETHEL HARRIS who lived in Mexico City and Cuernavaca.

ALVER was born 1864 in Ontario, Canada, son of HERNY DOBSON and JEMIMA SMITH and died in Mexico City in 1954. He first came to Mexico in the early 1890s.

In about 1891 ALVER DOBSON and a school chum, WILL DONLY, both of Simcoe, Ontario moved to Mexico City where they went into business together. In 1896, when WILL married EVA BROOK, the business is listed as “DONLY and DOBSON, publishers.”

Two years later, 1n 1898 Alver returned to Canada to marry ETHEL HARRIS, then back to Mexico City where he started a bookstore on Calle de Francesca – The American Book and Printing Co.. Various members of the Dobson family joined him to in the bookstore, including his sister, KATE MARGARET GALE KING. A nephew, WARREN GALE ( the son of KATE and her first husband ADELBERT GALE who died in 1901) was a mechanical engineer with The American Book and Printing Company. He and his wife VERA MARGARET HOPKINSON lived in Mexico City for 25 years until Warren was forced to return to Canada because of a heart condition. . Another nephew, REGINALD DOBSON, (son of JOHN HARRIS DOBSON) arrived in Mexico 1920 and worked in the bookstore for 5 years before moving on to other employment.

ALVER and ETHEL had a home in Mexico City and a small house in Cuernavaca where they spent weekends I believe and were planning to retire. He died sometime during 1954 - 1956. I have no information on ETHEL’s birth or death.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find the obituary and/or other information concerning ALVER ROWE DOBSON and his wife, ETHEL HARRIS DOBSON?

I sent you two emails today at different websites I found online. I am trying this email too. My father's surname is Carnalla Gutierrez and our family is from Jiutepec, Morelos. We also have family in the surrounding area - mainly Cuernavaca.

If you ever come across a book called "Los Companeros de Zapata" by Valentin Lopez Gonzalez, you can see a photo of my great-grandfather, Celestino Carnalla (page 59).

looking for any info on my grandfather. he left mexcio during the war refusing to fight with poncho villa. he was wounded crossing the rio grande, he was shot in the back. he changed his name to trotter and started in family in denison, tx. he left a family in mexico but we have no information. all we know is he spoke very strange spanish/indian languange.

Does anyone have information on how to get a copy of a birth certificate or 'fe de bautizmo' from Cuatla? My father-in-law was born there and said that he had no birth certificate because all the records there were burned during the 1910 revolution. Are there any other sources for finding family there, particularly Telesforo Garcia or Maria Estrada families? Anybody out there researching this area? If so, please contact me.

The word is that my grandfather was a police officer and was killed while conducting an arrest warrant. Can you help me out with any information on Monte Morelos ? I am serching for birth/baptism records for GEORGE HENRY JONES. He was born in 1870 in Morelos, Mexico. During the Civil War his parents JOHN HENRY and CATHERINE MEYER along with their children moved to Mexico until after the war when they returned to their home in Bracketville, Texas. George later married Concepcion Macias in Bracketville where he lived until his death in 1914. His children's names were Julia, Mary, Henry and William.
The Jones family had a very strong Catholic upbringing therefore I believe that there could be record of his birth through the church. Any help regarding the Jones family would be greatly appreciated.
