My elderly aunts told me a story once that my great-grandmother was the daughter of a Mexican president. Her name was Julia Diaz.As the story goes, she fell in love with a gardner at the presidental palace and they were forced to elope. They setteled in South Texas, where my grandfather Clemente Hernandez was born in 1890 I belive. Skipper, is your family from Port Isabel Texas? If so we are related. I think you and your mother and sister came to visit us once in Asherton Texas. My fathers name was Ruben Hernandez

I know Porfirio had seven brothers and sisters. Are you related to one of them? My Grandfather Diaz had a large portrait of Porfirio hanging in his home. I also have a picture of my grandfather who looks very much like Porfirio, even down to the cleft in his chin which is genetically passed down. He also had green eyes and all white hair. **Seven** nameless siblings are mentioned in the book: Porfirio Diaz: seven times president of Mexico By Mrs. Alec-Tweedie (Ethel). The names were found in family search of the LDS Church records.

Would you happen to know who the 7th sibling is would be? Could it be Cosme Diaz?
