2. Victoria Josef Manuela Diaz Mori (1824 - ? )
3. Felipe Santiag Diaz Mori (1833 - ? )
4. Nicolaza Macedonia Diaz Mori (1828 - ? )
5. Decideria Diaz (? - ? )
6. Porfirio Diaz (himself) (1830 - ? )
7. ?????

**Seven** nameless siblings are mentioned in the book: Porfirio Diaz: seven times president of Mexico By Mrs. Alec-Tweedie (Ethel). The names were found in family search of the LDS Church records.

Would you happen to know who the 7th sibling is would be? Could it be Cosme Diaz?

Hi my husbands name is Jaime Diaz, His fathers name is Eusebio Diaz son of Virginia Diaz Santiago she was Born In Oaxaca Mexico and was raised in Miahutlan De Porfidio Diaz Oaxaca MX I not sure if she was born in Miahutlan but she was born in Oaxaca MX and raised in Miahutlan... Hi Linda, I hope you read this message soon. I'm very excited to find out more information about your relatives. Do you know the names of your second grandmother's children? I know Porfirio had seven brothers and sisters. Are you related to one of them? My Grandfather Diaz had a large portrait of Porfirio hanging in his home. I also have a picture of my grandfather who looks very much like Porfirio, even down to the cleft in his chin which is genetically passed down. He also had green eyes and all white hair. Uncle Joseph Simpson died of cancer in 2004 in Oaxaca. Ashes were given to a friend. He was an American living in Oaxaca, arrested just prior to his death, part of the "Oaxaca 3".
Any help would be appreciated!

My elderly aunts told me a story once that my great-grandmother was the daughter of a Mexican president. Her name was Julia Diaz.As the story goes, she fell in love with a gardner at the presidental palace and they were forced to elope. They setteled in South Texas, where my grandfather Clemente Hernandez was born in 1890 I belive. Skipper, is your family from Port Isabel Texas? If so we are related. I think you and your mother and sister came to visit us once in Asherton Texas. My fathers name was Ruben Hernandez.

This is Sergio Nyrup Maldonado, I am Javier's brother. I do not know if you remember me from your last and only visit, if I am mistaken you did to the Rio Grande Valley. The name of my grandfather, was Eric Victor Nyrup Rodriguez. The Rodriguez last name came, because my great, great grandfather married with my "bisabuela" great, great granmother from the state of Oaxaca, from the city of Juchitan, or Tehuantepec, I am not clear on that, but she was from either one of those two towns.

I too am looking to find out if my family is related to Porfirio Diaz. My grandmother who passed away when I was young use to say that she was related to Porfirio Diaz. Her name was Elfega Diaz from Oaxaca, Mx. Her father was Manuel Diaz. She also had a brother Silvino Diaz who left on ship to Europe never to be heard from again. Wondering if there is any connection there to French-Canadian ancestry. If anyone knows of the Porfirio Diaz geneology please let me know.

Flyinhi, that's really interesting because I know my Grandfather Diaz was part French. But I don't really know if he was related to Porfirio or not. Do you have anymore info to go on? His full name is Nieves Solario Diaz, and he had a daughter named Mary and a son who passed away who had red hair.

I also have a great gradnmother whos last name was
Jesus Diaz.
According to one of her daughters (my gradnmother) Jesus Diaz used to talk about her realtion to Porfirio Diaz. My grandmother is now 85 so she can vaguely remeber the stories her mother told her about Porfirio Diaz. I dont really belive much because she cant remeber but she does mention that her mother was born in French Canada. If anyone wants to try to link all tis up please contact me.

Hello my name is Felix Varela I am 29 and very interested in finding out all I can about my last name I have stumbled upon letters from the early 1939 an up on my families ranch in tiajuana about my family my great grandfather was named Lorenzo Varela Who was married to Juanita Varela who maiden name was Juanita Hernadez. Much is known about my great great grandmother but since my great grand father was more humble and never spoke not much is known of him. I know he came from chiwawa and died in a hurricane that had hit tiajuana in the 40’s plus he and my great grandmother met in hunnignton beach California or the town talbert as it was known back then if anyone has any info I would be glad to hear from you.

His mother was Beatriz Ulloa Nyrup, daughter of Eric Victor Nyrup and Marguerite Ulloa. I would love to know more about Florencia Rodriguez and about your mother Georgeana and her brothers. My mother was one of the six sons that he had, they all born in Salina Cruz, my grandfather Hall Victor die many year ago, i think must have 48 years that he pass way,
His wife was Florencia Rodriguez, they marry and have six sons that was, Eric Victor, Harriet, Georgeana (my mother), Jack Victor, Lily, and Joyce...

Just a little help for your search for your last name.
Go find a library with the encyclopedia "Dicionario de Heraldico y Genealogico de Apellidos Espanoles y Americanos"
by Alberto & Arturo Carraffa Garcia. This work has an on line index at the Library of Congress's website www.loc.org
in the Hispanic Reading Room (do a search for the Hispanic Reading Room and once there do a search for this work or author) If your last names are listed it will tell you which volume lists them (there are 80 volumes to this work)
If you do not have a library which has this encyclopedia in your city you can order the volume on microfilm from any Latter Day Saint's Family History Center (go to their web site to find a FHC near you) for a small fee(usually under $5.00) from which you can make copies. The text in the bok will tell you where your surname usually originated from and sometimes a small genealogical outline. It is very helpful. Also register with a major hispanic genealogy group on yahoo. Go to Yahoo, click on groups, register and search for genealhispana (which is a general hispanic genealogy website with great links) and check out www.geneanet.com which has european genealogy info and allows you to do free searches to get you started.

sono italiana, scrivo in italiano, perchè non conosco lo spagnolo, ma mi può rispondere in spagnolo, perchè i miei figli lo parlano bene.Sono figlia di una Bracchetti di Ala di Trento e da tempo sto cercando discendenti di Giuseppe Bracchetti (Josè Brachetti)che all'inizio del '900 aveva lasciato Ala per il Messico e precisamente Puebla, dove aveva due alberghi. Aveva una figlia di nome Soledad. Emilio poteva essere uno zio di Josè che lo aveva preceduto in Messico. Se mi fornisce le date di nascita e morte di Emilio faccio ricerche qui. Can anybody help me with information regarding Victor Hall Nyrup (or Hall Victor Nyrup), born Copenhagen about 1872? In the early 1900's he became the French consul in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico. His wife is listed as Mrs. H. Lee Nyrup (on a ship manifest). In exchange for your help, I can do genealogical research at the National Archives and Records Administration in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where I am a volunteer. I have access to U.S. census and immigration records there, as well as Massachusetts Vital Records at my local Library. Any help as to Victor Nyrup's death or marriage would be most appreciated. do you know the names of Jofea rojas and hermilledgo (?) on spelling Yanez both were killed in the revolution, in santa barbara Mexico in 1912 belive were either from durango, or mexico city, they had two childern juan (john) rojas yanez, and maria de jesus rojas yanez, (jessie) when parents were killed in war clildern were brougth to california by uncle narciso medrano, and rasied by uncle and aunts,

I know of three famlies named Bielman in the US. My family from the Detroit Mich . Area. Came from Westphalia Prussia, Germany around Frankfort on the Main in 1833
A second family in Penn. from Southern Germany came to the US around 1766 or before.
A thrid family in Washington State I do not know where they are from.
There are also some Bielmans in Kanass

Por lo que he sabido mi abuelo Fidel Rosas fué telegrafista y al casarse con Ma. de Jesús Cuesta, procrearon a: Agustín, Amelia y José; al nacer este último falleció mi abuela. Agustín (fue ferrocarrilero, falleció en el D. F.); es mi padre, casó con María Archila; Amelia se casó con alguien de apellido Borges (era comerciante en Tapachula, Chis.); lo último que sé de mi tío José (mejor conocido como "Paquín") es que vivía en las Choapas, Ver. y que es jubilado de Pemex... Mi deseo es conocer los apellidos de mis abuelos y los más datos posibles para elaborar mi árbol genealógico.

my mind about the origin of my last name. And im happy because you gave the key , and perhaps you are parent of mine . In Mexico only the family is barzalobre for that reason is strange . Well i know that the first origin is from Italia so is Barllalobe may be in Spain changed .You know one key could be is Oaxaca so the origin of my family is there.

Well, my grandfather was born in Murcia - Spain. His name was Antonio Barsalobre and your parents Tomaz Barsalobre and Josefa Garcia. I dont know much more about them. It's the reason that I wrote to someone from here: to discover more about all of them.
In São Paulo lives my all family .... and it is big !!!!
