I am looking for any information about my great great grandfather Luis Maria Solis. From what I have gathered, he married a woman named Gertrudis Gomez in Reynosa. His father's name was Gerardo Solis and his mother's name was Nicolasa Cano. They were married in 1839 from what I understand.

Any information is more than appreciated. Thank You.

Any information that you can give me on Luis and Gertrudis would be helpful. I have practically zero information on the two of them and said lack of information on their generation has prevented me from doing any further research on my lineage.

My info on his first marriage is very limited as well. I'll share what I have on hand. My info on his second marriage is considerably more detailed.
Luis b1837, d1895 married Gertrudes Gomez. I only have one listed child, Angela.
Luis's parents were Gerardo Solis and Nicolasa Cano, married 1833. Gerardo's parents were Jose Decidero Solis and Maria Micaela Carrion, married about 1813 in Camargo. Nicolasa's parents were Feliciano Cano and Salome Talamantes, married about 1816. Feliciano's parents were Leocadio Cano and Maria Concepcion Zamora, married about 1790. Maria Concepcion Zamora's parents were Jose Antonio Zamora and Maria Antonia Peres, married about 1766. Jose Antonio's parents were Nicolas Zamora and Ines Munguia. Nicolas's parents were Cristobal Zamora and Juana de Trevino. Ines's parents were Diego Munguia and Josefa Hinojosa.

I believe you have the wrong Gertrudis and Luis. My cousin, Emi, made the same mistake in her tree. There are two Luis and Gertrudis in south Texas, one in Hidalgo/Starr counties, and one in Cameron/Willacy counties. The one you are looking for is Gertrudis Moya which is what the M stands for. Trust me on this, they are different.
