I am researching my g-grandfather Arcadio Solis, born 1875. It is said that he came from a place called "El Soliseno". But I also have come across a document that states that he was born at "Palo Blanco", around Matamorros. Any one have information on this family or the mentioned places? Did he have a daughter named Angelita Solis

I have an Auturo Solis married to Luisa Longoria dob 1901. They were from the Rio Grande Valley. They had ten children, some of which are still alive. I would have to ask about the ranch you mention to a family member. email me at:

My Grandmother's name was Angelita Solis. She was born and raised on a Rancho in Atascosa county (now Bexar county) in Texas. Her birth name wa Angelita Farias de Salazar. Viola, good to hear from you. Unfortunately, my Great Grandmother, Angelita Solis, was from Port Isabel and was married to Juan Garza of Port Isabel, Texas. They were parents of my Grandmother Maria (Garza) Campos of Brownsville, Texas

Did your Arcadio SOLÍS marry Severa SOLÍS? If this is the one I can help you. These SOLÍS came from El Soliseño initially.
