You post is old but I figured I would sent this any way. My family is from a very small town called "
Quince de Sept." It used to be named
Santa Rosa until a fews years ago. It is located near
Sain Alto, Zacatecas. From my understanding The Miranda's and Lazalde's make up most of the population in this small town. I spent my summers there as a child and every one there is related in some way, they are either Miranda's or
Lazalde. So if your Family has ties to both names I would say they probably originated there. Every one in town and in my family is very light skinned and could pass for white. I'm pretty sure they have alot of Europian blood in them, most likely spanish. I stil have alot of family down there including my Grandmother, and we are in constant contact with them. I've heard that alot of the people who came to the U.S. from those two families settled mostly in
Dallas,
