I was able to follow your research on Eufemia Miranda to about 1790, but it ends there. Can you tell me why? Was that the last record you found? I'm interested in continuing if at all possible. I still have a ton of family in Jerez, so I can get them onboard.

Tania, I just went over some records I have not recorded yet and was able to connect your Bautista/Losano line to families in my records. This is the record:

baptism 5 Nov 1820 in Jerez
Maria de los Santos born in San Miguel 15 days old
parents: Gerardo Bautista and Paula Losano
pat grn: Juan Bautista and Rosalia Gonsales
mat grn: Manuel Losano and Silvestra Barajas
pad: Celedonio Garay and Catarina Pinedo

I am not directly related but someone along the lines married into one of my lines. Sometimes I just track a surname because I think they might be related. I will be updating the files on Rootsweb.com probably tomorrow evening. I have 3 films I have not entered yet but am reviewing the films I have for connections. It's a process that never seems to end.

I have a question for you. I have the Losoya surname in my family line I was wondering if you have come across an instance where the Losoya surname is interchanged with Losano. The spelling is very similar and I have noticed that priest during the time when documenting baptismal, etc, took great liberties in the spelling of surname.

Did you go to Jerez to get this film? My dad his information from records in town. I think I may go out to visit some family and spend a day or two looking into this.
both sides of my family come from Jerez, so I'm sure there has to be a ton of stuff. I can't find a lot online, but I am missing some years. My mother/grandfather are from the Roman's in Jerez and my dad's mother is a De Haro. My other grandmother is the Carillo/Sanchez/Madero/a line. And the line you have been helping me with is on my other grandfather's side. It's amazing. I didn't think I'd find as much information on him as his father was supposedly unknown, but my dad got the information. LOL

I don't know how to open my family tree to you for your viewing, but you are welcome to it.

And yes, this process never ends. I also find myself adding marriages from someone in the family and then getting caught up in their family line.

But it's a lot of fun. Never in my mind would I have thought I'd have names of relatives that date back to 1790 and then his parents, years TBD.

Since I am a geneology novice, I will be so grateful to the generosity of previous Carrillo/Miranda researchers from Jerez,Zacatecas,My maternal grandparents originally came to US, at the beg. of this century via Morenci,AZ, then settled in the Santa paula/Fillmore areas in the 1920's. Later were ex-patriated to Baja. Cal.,So. of Ensenada, where they became Ejidatarios farmers, and business people. I am currently writing my Memoirs a legacy to my daughter. I am the oldest daughter, ( out of 5 siblings) of of Teodoro Cesena Lucero & Guadalupe Carrillo Miranda de Cesena.

My grandfather, Juan Carrillo married to my grandmother Lorenza Miranda de Carrillo,escaped th Mex. Rev. around the early 1900's into AZ. In Morenci,AZ, my mother,Guadalupe Carrilo de Cesena was born in 1914(?). MY grandparents were orig. from Jerez, Zacarecas, with some contact to Morelia. My grandfather Juan had three brothers,Two also named Juan( Grande/Chico) was how they distinguished the, another older brother, Isidro, married my grandmother's sister, Angelita. Eventually they relocated to the Santa Pula/Fillmore area in the Ventura Coo.,Cal. After the stock market crash of 1928, they were among many Mexicanos who were expatriated due to immigrant bashing. My mother married my father Teodoro Cesena Lucero,had five surviving children,of whom I am the oldest.
