Hello HHRuiz
follow this link:
http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#...and use the "Search Form"
One word of recommendation: Don't try to be too specific in the search using the name of a pueblo or rancho. Most of the time the place of birth itself is not indexed although it is on the indexed document. Rather use the name of the state. It may bring up more results than you may want to browse through, but the search form also has the option to look for indexed parentage as well to help make smaller searches.
One thing to be aware. Not all parishes record baptisms the same way. Some may just record the names of the parents but other parishes may record the names of the grandparents as well. If your ancestor (or other person of interest) lived in a municipio adjacent to
Monte Escobedo, for instance, there is a good chance that (instead of having their child baptised in the local parish) they may have taken the trip to Adjuntas del
Refugio, in
Monte Escobedo, to be baptised. The parish at Adjuntas del
Refugio traditionally recorded the names of the grandparents, as in the case of my grandfather.
Just an afterthought: Names can be tricky, especially
Spanish names. "Jose" and "Maria" are too common, so if you have a middle name, that may be more helpful. You may get better results, for example in searching for "
Refugio Gonzalez" instead of "Jose
Refugio Gonzalez" or "Jose
Gonzalez".
The site also includes the 1930 Mexican Census. Scroll down to map and click on "North
America". Scroll down to "Mexico" and follow instructions. It is divided into an indexed portion and an "image only" section. Zacatecas is not indexed yet so you will have to look at the scanned images of the schedules, which are fortunately indexed by state, municipality, and locale.
