My Muro line we have traced back through northern Jalisco and now in the mid-to late 1700's we are finding they were from a parrish in Villanueva. If anyone has any information on our family, please let me know or if some of our family is possibly still there.

Thanks - Carol Turner - Kansas City

Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you still live in or around Villanueva??? My gggrandmothr was Ricarda Saldana married to Eusebio Muro. They were married in 1830's time frame and had quite a few children. I am 42 years old, my father is David Muro and I've traced our Muro line back to 1760. I've only traced the Saldana line a few generations back. Do you think you were related to Ricarda?? I would like to know more about the Saldana family history and heritage. Do you know anything about the Muro family?

Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

Greetings,
I am interested in the town/ranch of San Ygnacio, Zacatecas. I am hoping that since you live in the state of Zacatecas you might be able to share with me some information about San Ygnacio. My research show a birth of a sibling of my father having been born in S. Y. Would you know the type of people that lived there? Were they Indian and what what type of work did the men do. The birth of my aunt took place in 1884 and she was baptized in Nieves. Any information you can provide would be well received. Anxious for a reply.

I think there at list 4 Muro families in Villanueva, Including Irene's and yours, there is another in Santa Anita, and more that came from Las Adjuntas (from where Irene's grandparents are). It's hard to find your ancestors in Mexico, unless you have both last names of them, then you may be able to narrow the surch
