Does anyone know where Santa Rosa is? I've checked maps and gazetters, but I've had no luck. This is the birthplace of my great grandfather and I would like to order film from the LDS library. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Christopher

There is one small community that I am aware of named Santa Rosa. It is about 15 Kilometeres South of Moyahua Zacatecas, which is about 3.5 hours North of Guadalajara. I hope this helps. I do not think you will find it on a general map, but you will find Moyahua.

Christopher: I am doing research on my Ramirez ancestors who were born in and around Malpaso, Zac. You probably saw my posting. I recently received a reply via email. In the reply, I was told that two of my ancestors, Anastacio Ramirez and Dionicia Medellin, were born in La Hacienda de Santa Rosa near Malpaso. The source of this info is Mormon Church Film # 1092946. Could be worth a try. Good luck. Ruben

Ruben, Thank you for the information. I've discovered that the Santa Rosa from which my ggrandfather came is called Colorado de Santa Rosa. It is near Ermita de los Correas, which belongs to the curato de Jerez. It is also near San Mateo and San Jose de Llanetes. Thank you for your time. Good luck with research and Happy Hunting
