I am trying to find any information on the following orphans home that was in Birmingham in 1915. They are
a. Alabama Old Folks and Oprhans Home located at 625 Weaver
b. Anthenaeum Orphan Home, located at Berney Ave, SW corner of 82d. East Lake
c. Children Aid Society of Jefferson Co. located at 206 S 15th. S. D. Willingham Supertindent
d. Mercy Home located at 2130 11th ave N, Mrs. Margaret Ramsay Supertindent
e. Pishah Home, located on Hentschell Ave. Germania Park, Mrs M. J. Wood Supt.
f. Salvation Army Industrial Home, located 2518 5th Avenue
g. Volunteers of America Home for Women and Children, located 1523 Marietta,
h. Wesley House Missionary Institute, 115 Avondale Mills Quarters.
I am trying to find which Orphan home that my father(William Condra)and his sister Irene was placed in when their mother Emma Cree Condra died April 1914. Where would I find the Orphan home records?
