Searching for information on parents and/or siblings of Zachariah H. JONES b 1809 in Chesterfield District SC, m Lydia ANDERSON (b 1811) in Madison Co. AL July 9, 1829. They lived in Marshall Co. AL until after 1846, then moved to Bradley Co. AR in time for the 1850 census. Children (all born in Marshall Co. AL) were William A. b Aug 31, 1830, David W. b 1832, Reuben Edcana Perry b 1834 (my ggfather), Clement C. b 1835, James M. b 1837, Abraham L. b 1839, Lorenzo Dow b July 8, 1842, Francis M. b 1844, and Nancy b 1846. Lydia died in 1848 in Bradley Co. Zachariah then married the widow of Isaac ETHERIDGE, Elizabeth (don't know her maiden name). They had Rebecca b 1856 in Bradley Co. and Oliver S. b Oct 24, 1859 in Bradley Co. Any information would be helpful. I have quite a bit of data on several of my ggfather's brothers, but would also like more on some of them. All 8 served in the Civil War.

Looking for James Henry Etheridge/Ethridge born c1885. Mr. Etheridge/Ethridge was Sheriff of Bradley County c1924-25-26. He married Esther Ophelia Turner c 1915. lst child was Jeff Davis born c1917.

My g grandmother was Sarah Ann BECK. My earliest record of her is the 1850 U.S. census for Bradley Co., AR, when, at age 9 , she and two siblings (Nancy J. BECK, age 14, and Melinda C. BECK, age 4) were residing in the household of Elizabeth J. ETHERIDGE, age 34. Place of birth shown for Elizabeth and all three girls is TN. Another child, Cordelia ETHERIDGE, age 10 months, born in AR, is also listed.

The 1860 U.S. census record for Bradley Co. shows Elizabeth and the three BECK children (the given name of one differs from the 1850 record) all residing in the household of Isaac G. ETHERIDGE, age 35. Cordelia ETHERIDGE does not appear on the 1860 record, but there are six other ETHERIDGE children, ranging in age from 18 to 2.

Sarah Ann BECK later married Reuben Daniel ETHRIDGE, my g grandfather. Whether Reuben was related to Isaac, I don't know. My earliest record of Reuben is the 1860 U.S. census for Bradley Co., when at age 15 he was residing in the household of David (Daniel?) T. ETHERIDGE.

Elizabeth was presumably married to a Mr. BECK, probably in TN, before she married Isaac ETHERIDGE. I know nothing about him, except that later census records show that Sarah Ann BECK's father was born in IN. Also, I know nothing more about Elizabeth, who would have been my gg grandmother, except as noted above.

If you have further information about Elizabeth, I would really appreciate having it. If you are interested in the descendancy of Sarah Ann BECK, I will be glad to provide it.

in Bradley County, Arkansas around 1930-35, there was a Mrs. Ethridge with two sons, Bill and Bob, who lived on the old road from Warren to Monticello, just across the old steel bridge over the Saline River. My grandmother lived next door and was a very good friend of Mrs. Ethridge. Bob, the youngest son, used to take me camping down the Saline. I wondered if you have this family on your tree?

In the following censuses, "Lavinio's" father was Issac Davis (d. 1850 AL). Perhaps it was from her maiden name that your Jeff Davis Etheridge/Ethridge got his middle name?

I have extensive information on James Henry Ethridge. He was my g-grandfather. Briefly, he was born 11-8-1867 in Augusta, VA. He died 12-10-1950 and is buried in Camden, AR. He was married at least three times. His wives names are: Lillie Dodson, Mollie E. Basket and Esther Ophelia Turner. He had four children that I am aware of before he married Esther. They are: Robert Lee Ethridge; I.V. Ethridge; Hazel Ethridge and Helen Ethridge. His children with Esther are: James Alfred Ethridge, born August 10, 1911 in Thornton, AR (my grandfather); Jefferson Davis Ethridge, born 1912; Dorothy A. Ethridge, born 1917; Jesse William Ethridge, born October 13, 1918 and Faye Ethridge, born September 16, 1927. His parents were: James Henry Harrison Ethridge, born 3-20-1844 in Chattooga Co., Georgia and Elizabeth Bittle Dobbs, born 1845 in Augusta, VA. The parents of James Henry Harrison Ethridge are: Briant Ethridge and Lucy Glenn; they were married December 31, 1818 in Wake Co., NC. I have more info as well as a photo of James Henry Ethridge in his later years.

I am the grandson of Eldon Miller whose parents were Maud Miller and Delia Ethridge. I am trying to piece together any history that I can.

James Henry Ethridge is my 2nd Great-Grand Uncle. His brother Jeremiah is my 2nd Great Grand Father. I am searching for more information on this family. Would be glad to exchange info!
