Nimrod
Bates Wheeler, retired farmer and cotton ginner of Hermitage died Sunday in Booneville. He had been in failing health for some time, and was 76 at the time of his death.
He is survived by a son,
Bates Wheeler of Warren; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Russell of Warren and 2 brothers, Joe of Hermitage and Louis of Darien
Georgia.
He was a member of the Hermitage
Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler were conducted at the church at 2:30 Tuesday by Rev. Rolla
Nixon and Rev. Gerald W. Trussell. Interment was in the Holly
Springs Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
