Does anyone have or know where I can get an obituary for Thomas David Hand (1854-1900) or Elizabeth (Jennings) Hand (1859-1912)?  They lived in Great Oak township, Palo Alto Co. and are buried in St. John's Cemetery.  Thanks!

I'm from Palo Alto County, Emmetsburg, Iowa. You need to contact the Palo Alto County Recorder's office @ 712-852-3701 or email recorder bonnie whitney bwhitney@co.palo-alto.ia.us They have all birth, marriage, death records and also keep newspaper clippings for all obituaries. Don't know how far back it goes. This is a small county where everyone knows everyone and if one doesn't know another is more than happy to tell!
