Lee Albert Krogh passed away August 30, 2013, in Saddleback Hospital, Laguna Hills, California, at the age of 71. He was born in Askov, January 17, 1942 to Albert and Josephine (Sorensen) Krogh and grew up on the family farm west of Askov.
Lee attended the Hans Christian Andersen School in Askov, graduating in 1960. He enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation, serving at Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Benning, Georgia, Germany and in Vietnam, where he was wounded and awarded two Purple Hearts. He recuperated at Lettermans Hospital in San Francisco and at the Presidio where he participated in computer programming education. This prepared him for his life’s vocation.
He was married to Betty White in 1963 and they had two children, Christy Lee and Robert Albert. He lived all over the country while working in the computer programming field.
He married Lynnette Ching in 1987. While living in California, he developed programs for the federal government, ADP and numerous small businesses.
Lee and Lynnette retired to Laguna Woods, California, in 001.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by wife, Lynnette Ching of Laguna Woods, California; son, Robert F. Krogh, Macon, Georgia; daughter Christy Garcia Calhoun, Georgia; sisters, Barbara (Craig) Anderson, Hinckley. Edie (Richard) Pearson, Coon Rapids; brothers, Gene (Pat) Krogh and Don (Marilyn) Krogh, Askov, Barry Krogh, Minneapolis and Bob Krogh, Sandstone; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A family gathering g of remembrance is to be held at a later date.
