Dear Herbert,
It was so nice to hear from you! I'll post my Janisch and Klecker information below (some of it appeared in another one of my answers to Barb, and I apologize for any duplication, but I wanted to make sure you got everything!). I don't show any Pyffl or Piffl lines in my family so far, but I have seen the name in parish records for the area where my family originated. I look forward to hearing from you! Best wishes, Teri Popp
My Klecker line is very sparse (only two listed, with Maria Anna Klecker, b. Jan. 1707/08 and her father, Mathias, b. ca. 1680, probably Landskron, possibly in or near Oberjohnsdorf, as he married Eva Zwinger from that location).
My most recent Janisch/Janish/Yanish line is as follows (with previous generations going back in time):
.1 Theresia Janisch, b. Feb. 12, 1837, Landskron, Chrudim, Bohemia (probably in or near Thomigsdorf or Trebovice); d. November 9, 1919, Benton County, Minnesota; buried in Holy Cross Catholic Parish Cemetery, North Prairie, Morrison County, Minnesota; married before 1872, probably in Cook County, Illinois to Wentzel Popp, b. Sept. 28, 1824, Olbersdorf #8, Landskron (Lanskroun), Chrudim, Bohemia (then part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and now located within the Czech Republic); d. July 28, 1878, Two Rivers Township, Morrison County, Minnesota; buried with wife Theresia [Janisch] Popp
..2 Mathias Janisch, b. May 1, 1802, Thomigsdorf #126, Landskron, Chrudim, Bohemia; m. Anna Müller, b. November 8, 1814, Trebovice (Triebitz #94), Landskron [I don't have any death or marriage information on this particular generation--I would like to try to establish just who the other children of Mathias and Anna [Müller] Janisch were so I will know who Theresia [Janisch] Popp's siblings were--I would guess they might be some of your ancestors)
...3 Franz Janisch [baptised as Franciscus Janisch according to Catholic parish records], bap. Sept. 27, 1778, Damnikov (Thomigsdorf #126), Landskron; m. Feb. 24, 1800 in Damnikov Parish (Thomigsdorf) to Theresia Schromm, bap. April 20, 1776, Damnikov (Thomigsdorf #133), Landskron (other children of this couple, besides Mathias, included: Anton, bap Jan. 17, 1805; Johann, bap. May 16, 1807; Josef, bap. Oct 5, 1811; Anna, bap Oct 15, 1812; Theresia, bap Feb 17, 1815; and Anna, bap May 19, 1817--there may have been others, too, but this is all I've located so far)
....4 Mathias Janisch, bap Feb 24, 1747, Thomigsdorf, Landskron; m. on Jan. 24, 1771 in Thomigsdorf to Anna Köhler (please note that this name also shows up as Kehler, Kohler, etc. in parish records), bap June 18, 1750, Thomigsdorf [no other children known besides Franz "Franciscus" Janisch at this time]
.....5 Georg Janisch [bapt. as Georgius Janisch], b. abt. 1720, Rudelsdorf, Landskron; m. on Oct. 5, 1741 in Rudelsdorf, Lanskron Parish to Marina Kehler, b. abt. 1725, Thomigsdorf [note: she may be related to Anna Köhler listed in generation #4 listed above] [no other children known for this couple besides Mathias Janisch]
......6 Josef Janisch, b. abt. 1700
Well, that's what I have. I'm happy to share my research notes on any of these lines (notes based on parish records, land records, census records, etc.). I look forward to hearing from you (and other researchers from these lines! <grin>). Best wishes, Teri Popp
