Daniel Hatheway, Edward Buckley, Mary Buckley and William Noble

My great-great-great grandfather was Daniel Hathaway (or Hatheway), who married Amy Noble in Washington County in 1822. They had a son, Edward Buckley Hatheway (my great-great grandfather), born 1826. The 1830 census shows Daniel Hatheway living next door to Edward Buckley.
No one knows Daniel's parents. I'm hoping that the namesake relationship between Edward Hatheway and Edward Buckley goes deeper than just being a close family friend.
Tracing Edward's family through the genealogies, I find a Mary Buckley living in Granville in 1850, who should be the same age as his wife, according to the earlier census. By then, the Hatheways had moved to Erie, PA.

I'm looking for information on any of these people.

Thanks!

According to various "charts" I've viewed on
Daniel
reports are that Daniel "moved to Erie Co in 1801"
my thoughts would be
Daniel was born in 1800----so logic says he'd have to have gone with parents---
I find an Eleazer Hathaway in North East, Erie for the 1820 census.

Have you explored the relationship of Abner Hathaway and Benjamin Hathaway to Daniel?

Question would be:
If Daniel had gone to Erie and lived there his life, why return and be in the 1830 census in North Granville next to Edward Buckley--now knowing that Edwards wife was Mary Brown and was not a Hathaway, as might have been one reason why the "return" to the Granville area.

Daniel was born 28 Feb 1800. He married Amy Noble on 31 Mar 1822 in Granville, Washington County, NY, and died in Erie in Jul 1849. According to Nelson's Biograpical Dictionary and Historical Reference Book of Erie County, PA, published in 1896, he was a boatbuilder who moved to Erie about 1830. Daniel was my gr-gr grandfather. Despite continual search we have been unable to identify his parents or how he connects to the main Hathaway/Hatheway lines. As noted in an earlier post there are some possibilities, yet, they are pretty conjectural. If you come up with some further information please let me know. In the meantime we shall continue to pursue all leads. Thanks.
