According to the HISTORY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, NY
5 Buckley brothers came to WASHINGTON COUNTY, NY, in 1806, with their father.
The brothers were: Charles; Alfred; Henry; Chester and
Edward b 1789.
Their Father was Charles Buckley who died in 1824 at the age of 74 yrs; being born 1749.
Edward, b 1789 in Colchester, CT, was touted as being the YOUNGEST of 12 children of Charles Buckley
Edward Buckley married, in 1815, Mary, the daughter of David Brown and Mercy Slade.
To Edward and Mary were born 6 children:
Julliet who married the Hon George Reed, residing in WI
Frances who married Henry Salisbury
Mary J who married Benjamin F Bancroft, of Salem
Edward B
George L
Charles E
It was stated that all 6 children and 7 grandchildren attended the 50th Anniv of Edward and Mary at the homestead during the 1860's.
