Plainfield is a township in Northampton counthy, adjacent to Lehigh county. Per my ealier response to you, there is a map available at http://www.usgwarchives.org/maps/pa/county/northamp/usgs/.

A history of Plainfield can be found at http://twp.plainfield.pa.us/homehistory.html

Bushkill is in Pike county north of the Blue Mountain.

Regarding Bushkill - the creek and falls are in Pike county. There is also a Bushkill township next to Plainfield in Northampton county

You say Bushkill is in Pike Co but my records show that the census of 1850-1900 have Bushkill in Northampton Co.
