I am looking for further information on the 3rd, 4th and 5th generations of my Graves family line from Capt. Thomas Graves (Jamestowne-1608). They are Capt. Thomas, John, Thomas, John, Thomas (father of John6 who left Spotsylvania Co., VA for Caswell Co., NC in 1754). I believe they moved from Northampton to York to New Kent to King William to King & Queen to Spotsylvania Co.

My husbands ancestir was Ann Graves who died ? in Hanover Co. VA. She married Lewis Smith Jr. b 1759 in New Kent Co. Her parents are said to be Richard Graves who died 12 Jan 1759 in New Kent Co. (He married Dionysia ? before 1752 but I do not have any dates or places.) His father is Ralph Graves who died abt 1748 in Burton Parish, VA. Some earlier information is from a geneology of Capt Thomas Graves on line. I have 7 more recent generations from Ann.
