Born abt. 1831, died Oct. 1870 in child birth. Parents were Richard and Elizabeth F. (Davidson) Blanton. Their marriage was 28, March 1832 in P.E. Co. Hoping someone may have info on
Richard Blanton or Elizabeth F. Davidson, their children, siblings etc., as well as anything regarding my GG grandmother Mary Ellen and her siblings.
As always, your help and time are GREATLY appreciated!!!
THANKS! Paul Moring

I would like to hear from you. Richard and Elizabeth's daughter, Elizabeth (Bettie) Alvah Blanton, was the second wife to my 3rd great grandfather, John D. Jenkins. I also have information on her sister, Mary Ellen Blanton. She married Richard Henderson Moring.

Hello! I have tried to email you directly and it comes back unserved. Could you tell me the parentage of Richard m. to Eleanor? I have seen this before and Richard m. to Elizabeth Davidson but have been unable to connect the families. I descend from George and Martha Shepherd Blanton, s/oJohn William and some say Ann Whitlow and some say Rebecca Hobbs. Thank you!

Hello Terri:
I have some information on Richard & Elizabeths
other children. Do you know when Richard died? Elizabeth?
I am descended from Richards oldest son, John A.
There were 5 children.
Elizabeth was listed as head of household on the 1840 & 50 Prince Edward census.
The other chidrens names and ages are listed there.
The youngest, Joseph James was 10 on the 1850 census,
which means Richard must have died in 1839.

Look forward to hearing more.
Thanks for sharing,
Nancy Fraker

I'm sorry. In my Blanton search in Prince Edward County I
have not run across an 'Edward'.
I do know that Joseph James Blanton, son of Richard & Ellenor of PE died in Newport News in 1911, and is buried in
Richmond.

I am looking for an Edward Blanton born in or near Prince Edward County in 1875. Could he be among the descendents of the family you mentioned? He had one sister named Ruth (whose twin Naomi died young) and moved to Richmond and then Newport News.

Thank you.

Neever heard of Joseph James. Might be a cousin of Edward since he was known for taking in less well to do relatives or putting them through college. Most of the stories like that involved my grandmother's family or Edward's sister but since my mother wasn't born until 1912, I might not have heard about him. What information do you have on Joseph James and his parents, etc.? And is he buried in Hollywood cemetary? I was just there this last summer and visited Edward's grave but didn't check on any other Blantons.

Thanks very much for your help.
