Matthew Rice was b ca 1686 to Thomas and Anne Hewes Rice. He m Ann McGeehee, daughter of Jacob and Elinor DeJarnal McGeehee.He and Ann had 16 children Does anyone have information those people? Would be glad to hear from someone on the families. Thanks--Dennis

Your Matthew is thought to be the brother to my Joseph Rice. Their land adjoined and they were certainly family. They lived near the village of Rice. Check on a map. The town still exists in Prince Edward County. Anyway, can you tell me where you got the name of Anne Hewes as the wife of Thomas. I have a Marcy and I got that from some of their children's baptisms in the vestry book of St. Peter's Parish in New Kent County. I too would appreciate any info.
