I'm not researching the Wells name, but ran across some headstones with the name, on 10/09/09. They were in the Butterwood Church churchyard/cemetery on Rt 40 in western Dinwiddie County, just outside the N E corner of Ft Pickett. I don't know when I'm going back, but if I have time when I go, I may take more photos of headstones. Are you still looking?

I am VERY interrested in this cemetery. My Tuckers lived right in that area that was destroyed when they built the Fort. I am looking for any Tuckers in that cemetery or Coles . How big is it and how many names are there. Is it online? What is the name of the cemetery? Pat

I can send the photos of the church and cemetery. I only photographed headstones that may help me. There are Tuckers in there. I don't recall seeing any Coles. I also found the site of the old Darvills School, which burned down in 1998. I believe my grandmother went there. I fyou can givfe your email address it would be much easier. I can be contacted at: jmneagle.1@verizon.net
