Frank E. WORDEN
Frank E. WORDEN, 78, of Plainfield, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Plainfield United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard R. Fite will officiate.
Mr. WORDEN was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Plainfield, the son of Leon and Bernice (CONOVER) WORDEN. He was married to Violet HELMRICK for 35 years.
Frank owned the Coast to Coast Store in Plainfield for many years and was a truck driver for Plainfield Trucking for some time. He served as fire chief for the Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Waushara County Special Deputies Association.
Mr. Worden served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Waushara Post 6007 VFW of Plainfield and Wautoma Masonic Lodge 148 F.&A.M. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Alan) WIESE; Judith DEEKE, and Jo (Jerry) O'CONNELL; two sons, Frank (Carol) Worden Jr., and Leon (Donna) WORDEN; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special friend, Dexter SPARKS; and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister (Miriam WALKER) and one grandchild.
The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma assisted the family with arrangements.
