Apologies for not writing in French. I am unable.
My father's ancestors left Durlinsdorf in 1872. They were
Louis
MEYER1829-1910
and his son,
Eugene
MEYER1862-1911
Also their extended family. I have their original immigration records and travel documents, as well as many photographs.
They moved to
Kentucky, United States, where they started a farm that my family still owns. Also interesting, the church founded in their community is called St. Peter and Paul, the same as in Durlinsdorf.
I have also been searching through microfilm records from Durlinsdorf, including the French Civil
Records, and church records, with quite a bit of success. I still have much more to do, as the French language is difficult for me to decipher.
I am very interested in all things Durlinsdorf, as it is a place that my family has talked about for generations. I hope to eventually travel there one day.
