You can order the Haguenau tapes from your local LDS FHC. Do you have one near you?

If you e-me at kelly.ancestry@verizon, I can help you further.

Thank you so much for the digital copies of the originals! I doubt I would have came across them otherwise. Do you know of any way to find out what ship they sailed on, or what port they would have used. Would it have possibly been listed somewhere? Thank you again for the help and wonderful information!!!

There is a local LDS church here in our town with a family history center. What would I need to ask for to be able to view and or get a copy of this information?

Hi,

For Illinois and Indiana, they should rather arrive to
New-Orleans.
http://collections.lib.uwm.edu/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT...

The Lambert HALTER born in Birkenwald is a brother of
(Johann) Michel, who emigrated as family of 5.

His wife :
Francoise LUSTENBERGER, from Wangenbourg, Alsace, not
too far from Birkenwald.
They married in Birk., on Jan 28, 1824.

see : http://genealogy.rohrbacher.net/cim4580

They had 3 children born in Birk. :
Sophie, Feb 27, 1824,
Joseph, Apr 24, 1828,
Florent, Oct 16, 1830.

These 5 emigrated before 1838, as your Lambert.

To link the Lambert from Haguenau to the Lambert of Birk.,
you should find his marriage certificate (in Haguenau ???).

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/printing/...

If your link is proven, you should be able to trace his
ancestors until 15th century (see geneanet data).

regards,
Charles.
