Many of the descendants of James Mallow have been seaching for some time for his parentage. James was born in 1795, settled in Ross County, Ohio in the early 1820's. In 1826 he married Elizabeth Duchmann in Pickaway County. He is shown in an 1820 census of Pickaway County, again in 1850 in Ross County and 1860 in Hardin County, where he died and was laid to rest in Wolfcreek Cemetery. We don't believe it was a coincidence that the Mallows of WV settled in Ross County at the precise same time, leaving us with the strong indication that he is from the same branch of Mallow/Mallo line.
