I am descended from Jacques Peyronnin and Marie Brasseaux from Bordeaux, France. Their son Bernard Peyronnin moved to Louisiana before 1818. Any help would be appreciated.

Is your Bernard Sr. or Jr.? There were two, father and son. I am descended from one of Jr.'s brothers Jean-Louis. Bernard Sr.'s father/mother were Jacob Peyronnin and Marie Brasseaux/Bareaux and they were from the Bordeaux region. There are still some Peyronnins in that area. I haven't had much luck in getting any more info from France yet. Maybe you'll do better.

Yes, I'm still out here. Don't have any new information though. I do know there are still Peyronnin in the Bordeaux area of France. One was a mayor of a city around the area.
