I have traced my family back to Jean Baptise Melon and Marie Benoit who emigrated to Acadia (Eastern Canada) late 1790, early 1800. They had one daughter Domitile born in Havre Boucher Nova Scotia.
I would like to trace Jean Melon's family further. In researching I understand he may have been a Les Chouans, and travelled from the Isle of Jersey.
Any help would be appreciated
