I am in the middle of what has now proven to be a very difficult search for any information about a French family of nobility with the surname "de Lioncourt". My search has turned up next to nothing which has been discouraging to say the least. I do not wish to disclose my reasons for the search because I feel it may lead to ridicule or resistance to disclose any information that anyone may have so please bear with me and lend me your ears. The earliest date I have for this particular family is 1760 and at this time I know that they did reside in Auvergne, where they lived before is a mystery to me. I am hoping that this message will catch the attention of a certain person (who will remain nameless) in hopes that they will contact me. Any information will be of great help and I extend my thanks in advance to anyone who knows anything of the de Lioncourt family.
