Searcing for Nicholas/Nicolas, Tirard/Tiriat, dit St. Jean who married Marie-Anne Thiriot dit Cpucin, in Vincennes, (Knox) Indiana, 1787. Nicholas was born about 1765. The families migrated out of France, possibly Normandy, in the mid-1600s through Canada to Detroit, and into Indiana. Nicholas and Marie-Anne's children include Angelique and Hipolyte. There was another son known as James the Creole, but he may not have been by Marie. Nicholas died in 1793, Vincennes, before Angelique was born, and Marie-Ann later near New Madrid, MO. Angelique married Michael Branum near New Madrid in 1811, He was born in South Caroline, 1775.
