My Camus family came to Detroit around 1847 from France, possibly Bordeaux. They were Pierre born 1817 and Clarmonce born 1818. Have you heard of them? Do you read English? I don't read much French.

I have Jean Camus married to Perine Lehaye in St Brieuc
France born abt 1700. They had Jean Francois in 1733 who
married Jeanne Clermont and had 4 children. Jean 1756,
Jeanne 1758. Jean Rene 1764 and Jean Baptiste 1766. My
forefather is Jean Rene who later immigrated to Cheticamp,
cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia Canada. You might be interested to know there was a Hector Camus born 1609 in
St Saulle France spouse Jacqueline Mondy. Gave birth to
Cathereine in 1635 immigrated to Montreal and died in
Sillery Quebec 1678. Pierre LeCamus born 1619 in France
and married to Jeanne Charles died 1680. They gave birth to
Elizabeth in1645, immigrated to Montreal married Louis
Lesagatier Guertin Sabotier.
Also Jean Louis Joseph Camus born Lens France 1800 and
died 1868 at Lille France married to Marie Catherine Joseph
Balavaine. Antoine Camus settled in Louisiana 1719.
here was also an Isabel Camus who came to Montreal in 1659
married Jean Charras. Also you may not know there was an
Etienne Camus elevated to Cardinal by Pope Innocent XI and
was archbishop of Grenoble France Sept 1707. Thought you might like some info on the surname Camus. Regards

I am looking for any Camus's born before 1700 in order to try by the elimination process, find Jean's who was born about 1700 and married Perrine Lehaye. I hae eliminated some but there are a lot of Jean Camus and others of the Camus family. I'm looking for the year they were born and who they married also what children they had.
