My family came to the U.S.A from Puerto Rico in the early 1900's. The course of travel was from Puerto Rico through South America, Hawaii and then California. The PIERALDI family came from the town of San Martino di Lota in Corsica. I am related to them. The first one to arrive in Puerto Rico was Ignacio, son of Luis Antonio and Maria Maestracci around 1837 and settled in Yauco. He arrived with his wife Angela Graziani and their seven year old son Felipe They owned a Coffee Plantation and exported to France, Italy and the Vatican until 1890. Francisco Pieraldi, grandson of the Corsican migrated to Hawaii around 1900, probably Maui. He died in San Francisco, CA. Are you related to him?

Hi, my name is Maria, My family originally from Ponce, PR AND Italy. My Grandfather Felipe Pieraldi just passed away Febuary 2009. I am his Grandduaghter from Maryland United States of America. My Father is Felipe (Phil), and he has two duaghters including me.
I am in my 30's and speak only English. My Fathers uncle and others still reside in Puerto Rico.
