Someone must have information on
Nicolas. He was in the U.S. in or before 1866. He lived awhile in south, (probably St. Louise) and for awhile in the west (probably Kansas/Nebraska), eventually lived and died in
Wisconsin. Sister Adelle witnessed
Nicolas signing his "Intent to Become a
Citizen" in
New York in 1877. He was buried in
Wisconsin in early 1891, later brother Emile transferred the body to (
New York City?) for reburial in a posh cemetery. He expanded his name to "
Nicolas Bourlier de la Chevalle" , Chevalle, a French word having something to do with horses. Brother Emile was big in the horse-racing industry in Louisville. Appreciate any hints or helps on
Nicolas. Bill Allen
