Looking for information on Joseph and Mary Delagrange who
immigrated to Louisville, Ohio in 1843 ( Stark County) They
stayed 13 years then moved to Allen County, Indiana where a
large French community lived. They had three children who came
with them: Victor, Constantine and Justin (Augustine). I thnk they
came from the Haute Soane region, which is close to Switzerland.

Victor Delagrange (b. 10 Jul 1827, France) married a cousin of my great-great-grandfather (her name was Barbara Schwartz, b. 22 oct 1930 in St. Hippolyte, France). I have quite a bit of info about Victor and Barbara's descendants, if that would help you.

Stories grow intime. There were 3 brothers :

Victor, Constintine, Augustine (Justin) Victor, Constintine
came to USA via New Orleans and settled in Louisville oh.
The moved to Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1843. Victor married
Barbara Swartz, an Amish girl. Constintine also was married
in Stark County. These two brothers came with their parents,
Joseph and Mary in 1843. They lived in Stark County 12 years. Justin, already married to Theresa, immigrated to
Ft. Wayne (Allen County), Ind in 1854. They Had on son,
Charles, less than 1 year old. Came via New York. There are
many Delagrange's in The Ft. Wayne area today. Charles
moved to Barberton in 1895, his family of 8 children. All of
the Summit County Delagranges are decendents of furtile
Charles and his wife, Eugina (Jane). After jane's body gave out, Charles married again to Eddie McDowell, who had two
small children, which wew adoped by Charles.
