Looking for any connections with the LEDUC surname in Haution, Aisne, Picardie, France. The listed surnames married into the family in the 1800s. I am trying to make contact with any LEDUC relations. Isidore Hector LEDUC born there in 1832 (parents: Constant Emile Edward LEDUC and Adelaide [Sorton] LEDUC) and came to California in 1860s.

I cannot speak French so any responses have to be in English.

Thank you.

hi ! I just find your message about your queries for Leduc familly in Haution / Picardie / France. It's very late, but have you got any informations about this familly ?
If not, I can help you cause I have all documents concerning this village, since 1669.
So if you need my help, you're welcome.

Bon Jour Angelica:

I received your posting. It is surprising that after 8 yrs items that one posts is still available and active on the Internet.

My Aunt Edna (LeDuc) Wiggins was very involved in genealogy. She did it the old fashion way (letters, 3x5 cards, post-it-notes, etc.). She got me interested and her sister Nina LeDuc married by dad, Lowell De Hart. I have done the De Hart genealogy by computer and have obtained a lot of info. as the De Harts' arrived in New Amsterdam, NY in the 1660s.

Aunt Edna had some correspondence with distant cousins back in France but not much genealogical information was provided. My great-grandfather, Isidore Ector LeDuc, Sr. came to the US in 1852. I do have sketchy info. back 5 generations in France (to 1730).

It would be totally awesome to obtain additional info. as my Aunt Edna is now 90 yrs old and in a nursing home. It would make her extremely happy, to say the least.

I can send you what I have and you could go over it to see if you could add anything.

It would be greatly appreciated.

My email address is STRAYKIKI@cebridge.net.

Roger
