Hi,
After reading threads on these families, I just want everyone to know there are two supposedly unrelated Oomen families in Hart MI. My husband's grandfather is Henry (Henrikus or Henricus)Oomen born 14 Apr 1884. He came to America as a single man, 28 Mar 1911. He returned to the Netherlands in 1913 hoping to find a wife. He married Maria Josephina Joanna Theeuwes on 14 Feb 1914. They arrived back in America 17 Mar 1914. In America they went by Henry and Josephine. Josephine died 13 Feb 1954. Henry then married Iva Clark 21 Oct 1961. She died 1967. Henry died 8 Feb 1976.
