I recently read your post. Since many years have gone by you may no longer be interested in the Visbal/Bisbal surname. If you are still interested in the Visbal/Bisbal family? I think I can be of help. My grandmother was "Nicolasa Visbal Acevedo de Hernandez" and she was Francisco's sister. I have been working on my Family Tree for about 2 years. Although I have always known quite a lot of family history, thru my search I have found ancestors and events totally unknown to us. Hi Angela,I am not bothered by your questions.

I also believe it is possible that my grandfather Serapio does know Cayetano's dad's or siblings names and how he was related to them, but it is difficult for me to talk to my grandfather because I live in California and he lives in a ranch in Mexico with no telephone. I will try to get in touch with him if and I'll let you know what he said.

Can you tell me more about how Simona Acevedo was related to Cayetano Acevedo? I can't find any more information on him...so i was wondering if he had any sisters or brothers or if your grandfather Serapio might even remember Cayetanos dads name?? Hi Cousin Carlos,

I remember posting something on August 9th, just not sure to what area of this website. I will have to check my emails and see where it was that I posted. And, yes, I do remember meeting alot of the family at that time. Raymond was one of them. To be honest, everything happened so quick when I was in N.Y. that I don't remember alot of the people I did meet. It was the first time in my life that I had seen them, and they were all great. I do remember Marcos wife, she was very sweet. I also have a few pictures we took at the funeral with family, just can't remember who all they are. I do appreciate all of the information you have given me so far. I am helping my son reconstruct a tree on paper then,put it on line.
I will also look to see where I had posted to Gloria, and send her a message. As for Frances, I know my dad had other children, I believe 5 of them including twins, he had mentioned that to me as well as my mom. However, I only met one of them Andy and, that is when we accidently bumped into each other at my dads hospital room. I didn't even know who he was until later when my dad woke up and told me who he was and, by that time Andy had been gone. It will be interesting seeing how much information I will be able to get.

This will be a great starting point for him. I had met Andreita(once) when my dad passed. Sorry, to hear she is not doing well. Carlos, I don't believe I have written Gloria. Thank you! My mom did tell us she lived on Gates Ave.,in Brooklyn but, I don't remember. When my brother Eric joined the Marines years ago he moved her to California. That's about 30 years ago. A few years later after returning from Japan I moved to Cali as well. I have 2 boys Triston and Robby. My brother Andrew who passed away has a boy named Andres and daughter Judy. And, Eric has 2 kids also , Anisa and Eric Andres. quick info. And, yes I would love it if you can get me that information. No rush, when you can. Do you have siblings?

Anyway, I had also met Enrique at the time and he was really funny. My son has been asking about my dad's side of the family and that led me to do a little research on here. Glad I did! My legal Name is Victor Lugo. If she is still alive, which I hope to God she is, she will probably be in her early eighties. Also I believe I have bothers and sisters which I would love to meet.

My father was Andres ( Andrecito) Acevedo. He had a twin sister Andrea. I would love to know more about my family on my fathers side. I only met them once and, unfortunately that was when my dad passed away. I have a brother Eric Acevedo and also a brother Andrew Acevedo who passed away a few years ago. My Mom was Pura, she passed away in 2008.

Acevedo is very popular in Aguada, PR. I too was told stories about family members, who are involved in politics. My dad side is Acevedo, from a Barrio called Maria. It's a big family with about 13 brother's and sisters. There is property up in those mountains and all of the Acevedo's are close together. You may want to check there. :) Good Luck in your search.

I have an grnduncle who had a son with Francisca Morales, my grnduncle Ramon Acevedo Rivera from Adjuntas, never registered this son (Luis), until 9/25/1972.
Luis maternal grndparents where Manuel Morales and Ramona Rosado. His paternal grndparents where, Marcelino Acevedo and Maria Rivera. I'm in search of grndchildren which Luis may have, his name would be Luis Acevedo Morales, since 1972 that he was registered. Or he may still carry his mothers name and go by Luis Morales Rosado.

The Acevedo surname is quite common in Aguada, as well as in the rest of the west coast of the Island. However, not all of us are related. I'm from Aguada and my last name is Acevedo. I would be glad to help you in your research.
