Berl Lynn Vaught, 81, of Paragould died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Paragould Nursing Center in Paragould.
He was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Greene County to the late James Franklin Vaught and Luna Mae (Adams) Vaught.
He was a carpenter, a member of the Air Force in World War II, and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelene Smart Vaught, and three brothers, D.J. Vaught, Kenneth Vaught and Johnny Vaught.
He is survived by one daughter, Vickie Cunningham of Little Rock; one step-daughter, Zelda Micenhammer of McDougal; one brother, Homer Vaught of St. Louis; one sister, Betty Bateman of Rector; a companion and dear friend, Norma Krause of Paragould; three grandchildren, T.J. Cunningham, Brian Cunningham and Tony Micenhammer.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Jack Bearden and Bro. Jerry Gregory officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Boyce Bateman, L.N. Gilbert, Marron Archer, Ron Benson, Rex Smart and Junior Lee Smart.
