Yes, we're still interested in Aga family, Norway. Grandfather was Johannes I. Aga born June 10, 1895 Aga Norway. His parents were Ivar Johannesson Mortveit born June 24, 1867, Norway and Marita Isaksdatter Aga, born July 21, 1866 Aga Norway. They were married October 17, 1889 and we're assuming that was in Aga or one of the neighboring towns.

Any information about them or further back on Ivar would definitely be helpful.

I haven't heard of any other Aga's settling in the Pacific Islands. I would be curious as to why they decided to go so far away from home.

Yes I'm still interested in Aga family research. My husband's grandfather Johannes (John) I. Aga was born June 10, 1895 in village of Aga. He died December 21, 1963 in California. His father was Ivar Johannesson Mortveit b. June 24, 1867 and d. Sept. 7, 1950. He married Marita Isaksdatter Aga b. July 21, 1865 in Aga and d. June 24, 1951.

We have found some relatives still in Norway and can go back a little further on Marita's side, but would like to find out more. Any help would be appreciated.

Kari, saw your message from February re Aga family and Aga farm. I'm researching my husbands family. HIs great grandparents were Ivar Johannesson Mortveit who married Marita Isakdatter Aga in 1889. Their son Johannes I. Aga born in Aga 1895 and came to US in early 1900's. Would be interested in any information you have on the Aga line. Thanks.

I have loads of information on the Aga family in Norway. I have even been to the farm Aga in Norway to visit all my relatives. If any wishes any information on the Aga's or any surrounding towns please feel free to contact me. I can take the Aga familiy tree back to the 1200's. I have the Bygdebok for AGA and many other names. I would be glad to do a search.
