Aiton Family Tree

David Aiton  (View posts) Posted: 31 Oct 1999 4:40AM GMT
My name is David Aiton and I am looking for information about my great great grandfather Andrew Aiton and his wife Catherine McNair.

Andrew Aiton was married to Catherine McNair and gave birth to John Aiton at Houston Scotland July 10th 1860.

I am looking as much information as possible, but specifically:
Date of birth
Place of birth
Date married
Place of marriage
Date of death
Place of death

Also any information about the ancestors of Andrew Aiton would greatly appreciated.

Please contact me via e-mail if you can help.

Thanks
David

Hi David, I too am looking for relative of Aiton. My grandfather is John Aiton(B:1913) his parents were John Aiton (B:1866) married to Mary Keirs. John(1866) parents were William Aiton(B:1835) married Mary Irvine. I have a list of siblings with no date. My information came from my grandfather who's not really with it these days. I've come to a wall. William was born in Hurlford,Ayrshire,Scotland then moved to Stirlingshire and then to Cambuslang. Maybe we can shed light with each others info.
Thanks

Dianne and others with inquiries about Aiton ancestory there is a great deal of information available. Are you aware of the AYTON FAMILY SOCIETY. It is an organization of people with the surname of AYTON, Aiton,Eaton etc. There is a gathering of the group annually in Scotland and 2 newsletters each year. It is really quite interesting and I would gladly share more information with you. Gerry Rowe
