Back in 2002 when you asked me if the name Agustina Benitez meant anything to me, it did not. However, now it might.

Since then, I found out that My GGfather's mother's name was Reginalda Benitez Piedrasanta de Alarcon....

His Mom, my Grandma is/(past on w/in last 12years) Hilaria or Hilary Regalado of Artesia, Ca. married to ?? i believe married an Indian Chief, of the Cherokee tribe. I am related to a Dr. Ernesto Alarcon Benitez who was born in Quezaltenango around 1896 in Guatemala. If you have any info. on him I would love to hear about it, and tell you how I am related to him.

I don't know how much help I will be, but my great -great grandmother Juana Alarcon Perez emigrated from Almeria Spain in 1920 with her two sons; Anotnio Cespedes Perez and Salvador Cespedes Perez. They moved to Canton, Ohio to live with other members of the Alarcon family and her husband, Juan Cespedes.

After they immigrated to the States, they changed their names respectively to:
Jennie Alarcon Cespedes
Antonio Cespedes
Salvador Cespedes (my great grandfather)

I am looking for information on the Alarcon family, as well, if your pedigree somehow links with mine.

I don't have any info on them Maria Lorenza Alarcon married Jose de Jesus Vela (born May 4, 1768) and they had a daughter named Maria Tomasa Vela Alarcon who married Jose Ignacio Gutierrez Hinojosa. I think they married in Mier or Cerralvo Mexico.

I BELIEVE THE NAME MEANS LARCH TREE WHICH LOOKS LIKE A TYPE OF PINE IN THE PICTURES I HAVE SEEN. THERE IS ALSO A TOWN NAMED ALARCON WITH A CASTLE. YOU CAN SEE PICTURES OF THE CASTLE ON THE HILL ON LINE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD THAT THE NAME WAS ORIGINALLY DE ALARCON, MEANING FROM THE TOWN OF ALARCON.

Sorry have not been on this page in a while. You are right, there are only a few of us around. My father only has one brother alive and that is my Uncle Amador. He is older then 76. Never hurts to try though. Good luck in your family search.

My husband's mother, Isabel Alarcon, was from Almeria, Andasusia Spain. She came to the U.S. around 1946 and lived in Cleveland, Ohio and later Paterson, N.J. Her family could have been in Los Giles, Bejar or Murcia. She married Juan Perez-Fuentes. The name Ros was also her family name. Her father was Diego and possibly went to Cuba around 1915-1920. We believe she had a brother living in Barcelona. I would really appreciate any help as we know nothing about her family in Spain except for an aunt named Carmen.

There was not a alejandro in my Dad's siblings. The only Alejandro there was was his grandfather. My dad was born in Mexico in 1916 and died in Santa Paula Oct 1993. His siblings were Anita, Tita (deceased), Margaret (deceased), Jose (deceased), Abel (deceased), Amador, Guadalupe, Carlos (deceased) He also had a sister named Ramona, whom died when she was born., I believe she was the first born child, before my father.

I am looking for any realtives of Josefina and/or
Aurelio Alarcon-- they were both married to each
other- ages ago. Josefina's maiden name is Sepulveda.
She was born around 1901 or 1902 in Mexico..
She also lived in El Paso, Texas in the 1920's
30's and 40's. They both had a daughter by the name
of Guadalupe Alarcon born on Dec. 25- 1927.
Josefina died in April of 1994 in Riverside, CA.
