There was an Albright who landed in Canada aboard the Clinton at the end of the Revolution. It appears he was a loyalist and many loyalists stuck together. Checking for the name Ramsay on the loyalist list see there are several which you may wish to investigate:

http://www.uelac.org/Loyalist-Info/loyalist_list.php

I am researching Albrecht/Albright name in Argenteil, Lower Canada (Quebec).

Lauraine

Eleanor Albright death and burial?

Hello all! I am looking for information regarding the death (and birth if possible) of my GGG Grandmother Eleanor Albright nee Ramsey. She was born June 15th 1818 in New Brunswick, Canada and married Lewis Albright sometime around 1850. Details on the marriage are unclear. I don't have a death date, but her son, Charles Lewis who lived with her as of the 1901 census in Northfield, Sunbury county arrived in the US in 1907. I would assume she died somewhere around 1906-1907. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to learn more about her. Thank you for your help!

There are 2 lines of Albright in PA-one is the family of There is Rev Jacob Albright line and the other is the Albrights that settled in Berks county and they continued to the Carolinas etc. with only several sons staying in PA. I have a book the Albrights by Shannon Albright (Berks county family)
and it has alot of other Albright families for example I have info on the Perry County family---
The 2 different lines can get confusing and it took me years to realize there were these 2 different lines in PA--(probably not till I spoke to Shannon Albright and ordered his book)
I will help anyway I can can as I do look-ups in the book and try to head you in the right direction----

I found some info I believe to be pertinent:
1860 Federal Census: Illinois > Union > Jonesboro Ward 2

ALBRIGHT, I. N. 50 born TN
wife, Indiana 46 "
(m) J. M. 20 KY
(m) F. E. 18 "
(f) Isophene 7 "
(m) Jas. 4 "
(m) F. S. 14 "

Note: Handwriting very poor. Initials and names are as transcribed at ancestry.com except that I.N. was indexed as J.N., but it was almost certainly an ''I'' for Isaac.

Seems to be listed on 1850 Census as Isaac ''Allbright'', married to Anna, with 6 children including Eliza. age 12, born KY.

Isaac N. Albright was listed on the 1840 Census at same location, but no other names...just age ranges of males and females. Total of 7 in family.

My GGGrandfather was born in TN in 1813, was in IL in 1850 before moving on to IA. so I have early family info on Albright/Allbright's. Please email me at MSmedstad@aol.com
so I can send further family info if you'd like.

Hiram Albright born 12/26/1826 died 3/23/1897 married to Mary Porter Burley (3/1/1832-7/6/1901, daughter of John and Margaret Porter Burley). I'm descended from their son George W. with sister Florence and all others you list there. My info says Florence was born 1864 died 3/1/1929, married to Frank Getson. Hiram Sr.'s parents were John Albright (? -1827)and Rachel Ann Troutman (7/6/1798-2/6/1862 - remarried Daneil Martz after John disappeared on river trip in 1827, daughter of Peter Troutman and ?). John Albright was one of 13 children and his parents were Christian Albright (1775-2/4/1830) and Margaret Prakner (Prechner-1777-5/8/1845). All are from Northampton/Southampton Township, Somerset County/Bedford County.

Hello,
I am researching an Albright family from Catoosa GA, for a friend. The Albright family I am looking for is an African American family. I found them in the 1870 census, Warren Albright with wife Eliza and children & a Buchannan family. 2 doors away from Warren is a Joseph H L Albright (Joseph Henry Lumpkin I presume) with wife Amanda & child William H M Lumpkin. The parents of Joseph were Henry Albright & Meeky Blair. Does anyone know if Henry Albright kept slaves? Did Henry Albright have a will that mentioned slaves?

Debbie
The Family Group Record information on Peter Sherer and Mary E. Albright that I sent to you was taken from the website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The marriage date for Peter Sherer and Mary E. Albright is listed as 28 August 1853, Rye Twp., Perry County, Pa. With that information in hand, you could visit the Perry County, Pa. Courthouse in New Bloomfield, Pa and request a copy of the marriage license, if you cannot go to the courthouse in New Bloomfield, then write to them for a copy of the marriage license, I am sure they would be happy to assist you.

It is quite possible that the Perry Historians-Lenig Library in Newport, Pa. may have some information on this family also.

Good Luck.

Donna....First, I want to thank you for making yourself and your book available to those of us researching the Albright/Allbright families. I am trying to locate additional information on the ancestors and decendants of Jacob Albright (b. 1729, Berks Co, PA; d. 1791, Orange Co, NC). I am also looking for additional information on his grandson John Edward's wife Elizabeth Reitzel. I have a good bit of information on John Edward and Elizabeth's decendants -- I recently completed my application for, and was accepted into, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas using this family line. I'll gladly share what I have with other researchers....Elizabeth
