Seeking living relatives of Andrews from Kent/London

My grandfather died in WWII and we have no contact with his family. His Father WIlliam Reginald (b 1890) married a Daisy Davis (b 1891) and then went to Egypt.

William Reginald's sisters - Caroline Francina, & Emily Lesley, moved to Ramsgate to run The Paragon Hotel, where their Father, William James also moved back to & had the now dilapidated Paragon Baths. With the start of the war Caroline lost the Hotel and married Lewis McLaglen. But aree there any living relatives associated with Emily, Elizabeth, or a remarried William Reginald Andrews?

Or did Daisy Davis remarry after her and WR divorced in egypt?

hello all: I am looking for my great grandmother's family. (Clarissa Andrews) She was born in 1845 in Alabama and migrated to Henderson County, Athens, Texas around 1860. Athens is very close to Corsicana. She is part Native American and African American. You never know.

My great great grandmother Sarah Catherine Andrews/Andress was born in Alabama and was supposedly Native American. She married George Washington Durham. Sarah was born in 1852. I can't figure out who her family was and it seems that there is a lot of Native American in many of the Andrews families from Alabama. Can anyone help me on this? I am at a dead end!
Jackie
jackieeoff@yahoo.com

Sarah and George are my great great grandparents. I am soo thrilled to find another researcher for them! Their daughter Emma was my mothers grandmother. The story goes that Emma was Native American. Mom said she was a little afraid of her as a child, and that Emma would squat rather than sit in a chair. I would love to exchange information with you! Please email me at jacquelynn1eoff@aol.com
Thanks! Jackie

Our Great Grandfathers were brothers. James Monroe and Samuel Washington. We share the same great great grandfather John Andrews. I am trying to figure our if the connection to John Andrews is Gray Andrews and Millie Warren being his parents. I would love to connect with some of our cousins. Which of Samuel Washingtons chidren is your grandfather and is it your mother or father that is an Andrews. Would that make us what cousins? Love to hear more.
Vicki Ramseur
Preston---

I have been searching for an Andrews connection in Franklin County, NC for a long time---so we could compare notes. Would like to exchange information.
This is also my lineage. My grandfather many times removed from 1700's lineage, was Abraham (Abram) Andrews(b. 1745/1749), son of William Andrews of Surry County, VA and later Northampton County, NC. Abram Andrews married Nancy Sims and had at least four children, perhaps all born in Nash County, NC--Allen Andrews b. 1778, Richard b.1780 and two daughters Nancy and Temperance. Abraham spent most of his life in Franklin Co, NC --and possibly died there--not sure. Some of his lineage and several of his brothers were in Hancock Co, GA in early 1800's--brothers Gray, Green, son Richard, etc..
Abram's son Richard is my line. My lineage goes back from Richard's son William Gray Andrews, to Richard, Abraham, William(Northampton Co, NC), Richard(Surry Co, VA) , David Jr(Surry Co, VA), David Andrews Sr(Surry Co, VA)--not sure beyond that.
Would like to exchange info if you are interested. Contact me direct.

Gerald Andrews
gandrews@knology.net

SHELBURNE - It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Charlie.
Charlie was born to David E. and Shirley I. (Iby) Wisell on July 24, 1964, and left us in the early morning of Feb. 22, 2012, with his mother and brother with him.
He attended Rutland High School and graduated in the Class of 1982.Charlie was a first-generation Trekkie, he never missed anything regarding Star Trek. He also enjoyed nature, including hiking, four-wheeling, driving or rocketeering. One could always count on Charlie to join in a game of cards, especially poker, board games or gatherings with family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his father, David E. Wisell of Rutland; mother, Shirley (Iby) Wisell of Essex Junction; devoted family friend, Sandra Patch of Rutland; brother, Alan and wife, Heather, of Williston, and adored nephew, Adian Wisell; and his much loved and adored feline companion, Miko. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Henry and Lorraine Iby of Williston, Kenneth and Carol Wisell of Hudson, Mass., and Clifford Wisell of No. Hampton, Mass.; and many cousins.
Charlie was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Hobert and Lena (Steeves) Iby; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Ruth (Clifford) Wisell; cousin, Paul Wisell; and aunt, Betty (Wisell) Melen. Also predeceasing Charlie was his furry first mate and constant Trekkie, Jethro Tiberious Kat. Jethro was to Charlie what Spock was to Captain Kirk.
No more sorrow, no more pain. Rest peacefully our blue-eyed Captain. We love you and will cherish our short time with you always.
Honoring Charlie's request, there will be no visiting hours or service. Corbin & Palmer Funeral and Cremation Service, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction is in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Charlie's honor to the Chittenden County Humane Society, 142 Kindness Court, South Burlington, VT 05403-6753.

Published in Rutland Herald on February 26, 2012

I know this is a long shot that you might still check this for Andrews genealogy.
I am a descendant through Joanna Andrews b 17 Jan 1733 in East Greenwich,Kent Co., Rhode Island d 4 Jun 1787 in Exeter,Rhode Island. M to John Joslin 18 Dec 1754 in West Greenwich,Kent Co.,Rhode Island.
It seems by what I have found, her parents were; Benoni Andrews & Rebecca Sweet. Do you have a genealogy for this branch of this tree? Seems Andrews is a hard family to trace when I don't have much for family records.
Certainly appreciate any way you can help me, thanking you in advance.

Maxine Davies kansaslassie@gmail.com

Stan Andrews was my brother, I am the youngest sister, Ruth Rosemary Andrews Newell (1944-), and Jason's father is my nepher Bob (Robert John).... I could never find Jane's last name - and I've scanned many census' of Sutton Bridge. Super, where did you find that Woodroofe last name. I know John & Jane are buried in St.Matthews Church of England cemetery. Maybe that "St Mary" that you speak of is actually "St Mary Sutton Civil Parish"?? Going thru the S.B.Census records, I think John was 1 of at least 4 brothers - I found, besides John Andrews 1791, a William Andrews 1793, and an Isaac Andrews 1795 all born in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire....I think there were 4 brothers...In an 1851 census William is already a widower at age 58, but living with him is his nephew, Fred Andrews, age 29 & wife Sarah, age 27 & a son Fredk age 1....maybe the 4th brother's name was Frederick?? I live in Fonthill.
