Hi Gerry,

Thank you for contacting me. I have tried to see if the names of your father ring any bells with me. I have checked all the information I have and it appears nothing fits. Now this does not mean that we are not related. On one of my visits to Mauritius I was told that all Angelines are related!

If you could give me the name of your grandfather, maybe grandmother I could see if that rings further bells. Do you know what part of France it was that he came from? Also any names of your father's siblings would also be helpful.

On a different note, what part of the world do you live? I am in the UK. I knew vaguely about my grandfather being Mauritian of French descent, and decided to investigate when holidaying in Mauritius after my parents death. I have found a wealth of second cousins and we meet and share family history information! They are the most friendly delightful people!

I hope I can find the link!

All the best,

Madeleine

My grandfather married3 times and had 3 sets of children from his wives(I believe they passed away and he re-married) my dad Maurice James Angeline and Andre being the last set.

Came to this site by chance, and thought where are all these Angeline's out there in the wide world, and here I am.

I come from a line of Angeline family who were born in Mauritius. I follow a line of family who have named one of the off-spring Maurice (I'm one of that Line). I have to say, I have broken that link, and named my boy Gerard.

Not too sure when the first Angeline settled in Mauritius, but I would guess when the french settled in the 1500s.

Au revoir and hello to all the Angelines out there

Gerard

I am also interested in the surname Angeline. My grandfather was part of the Angeline family, but used his grandfather's surname Barbeau. His siblings used the surname Angeline. His grandparents were not married, thus the confusion with surnames. I live in the UK, but have found many Angelines in Mauritius and they all seem to be related originating from my grandfather's grandmother Heloise Angeline c.1795. I suspect they originated from France. Does anyone have any information about these surnames?

My grandfather born 1901 in Italy was Romauldo (Raymond) Angeline. He resided in Bradenville PA until his death in 1978. Angeline was the Americanized version of Angelini. Don't know much else but all my Angeline relatives still reside in PA except two, one Peter Angeline in California and Carl Angeline in Ohio, both my mother's brothers.

Hi,

I'm looking for information on Joseph Cousins and his wife Theresa Cousins. I do know they immigrated from England. Family legend has it that they brought the Bartlett potatoe to the states. Theresa's last name in the scanned sheets is Berdlth. I think this is a bad scanner problem; might be Bartlett or Barlett. Joseph was born around in 1863 (he was listed as being 57 in the 1920 census). My great-grandmother, their daughter, was Estelle Cousins. She married William John LaRoche and moved to Port Isabel.

Kelley

I found a list of Angeline decendants in a
jounal that is 30 years old, that has been
kept as a log for our Angeline Reunion. We
just celebrated the 30th in August 2000.
Peter Angeline is my dad's cousin. Louise
Marion Peter's sister that is still living
in Fairchance, PA. I found the graves of
ALfonso and Nickolina over the summer. They
are written in Italian.
Mickelina Angelini Nata 22 Giugno 1883
Morta 9 Giugno 1939
Alfonso Angelini Nato 5 Feb 1885
Morta 19 May 1948
Also found were Alverio and Felicia Angelini,
and Giacinto Angelini.
We only live about 5 miles from Shoaf, PA
were Peter was born, He was married to
Christine Williamson.
I have a little book that Amadee Angeline
wrote up on our family history that starts
with Giancinto Angelini coming over from
Italy. It would be great to hear from you.
I think we could put a whole bunch of things
together.
