My name is John Psiharis. My grandfather was Constantine Psiharis and my grandmother was Eleni. They lived in Chrisovitsi and spent winters in Tripoli. My grandfather had two sons, Peter and John who came to Chicago at a young age with my grandfather. Although my grandfather eventually returned to Greece, the two sons remained in the US.

Hello, just getting back after learning more from my Papou. My great grandmother, Argero Angelos ( angelopolous) was born in Kalamata in 1897 ( née zigouris) and married Anthanasiou ( renamed Thomas). She emigrated through Ellis island around 1915 and settled in Fitchburg, MA. she had 5 daughters and one son ( my Papou, James). Please let me know of the other information you have.

Was wondering if you knew if he had a brother Nick. Born about 1887 and died in 1918 in Chicago. . We are looking for Nick Psicharis /Psiharis . He was married and had 2 children when he died.

Also - would you like photos of Peter's grave. If it is the correct one. Born in 1887 and died in 1965? Wife Vasiliki born 1895 died 1989? Shows Chrisovitsi,Arcadia on the monument. He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.

My father is from Chrisovitsi as well and we're now residing in Chicago. We are related to Psiharis families.

I'm Pete Psiharis. My grandfather was Peter N. Psiharis of Chrisovitsi, near Tripoli. He came to Chicago around the turn of the century. He had several brothers, and extended family that still lives in and around Chrisovitsi. I don't know if he had any sisters. My Grandmother was sur name Anargyros, also of Chritsovitsi.

PLATTSBURGH — Mrs. Dorothy Angelos, 75, of Beekman Towers died Tuesday Nov. 30, 1999 at her home. She was born in New York City on Nov. 22, 1924 the daughter of the late Nicholas and Diamadoula "Dina" (Augustatos) Zaharatos.

Dorothy arrived in Plattsburgh in 1943, she contributed her services in running the family business, the Crystal Restaurant. Dorothy worked at Monty Street School and Oak Street School as a cook. She had worked for ten years at Plattsburgh Air Force Base as a cook. Dorothy retired from Marriott Corporation, SUNY Plattsburgh, in 1994 where she worked as a line cook. Dorothy was a member of the Senior Citizen's Council in Plattsburgh and attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh. Dorothy was a devoted grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her former husband, Jerry Angelos of Plattsburgh; two sons, Gus Angelos of Chicago, Ill.; Nicholas Angelos of Plattsburgh; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Kevin O'Brien of Saratoga; Athena and Walter Mousseau of Plattsburgh; a sister, Freida Frankos of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren, Bret Angelos, Jessika Angelos, Sarrah Angelos, Erica Mousseau, Corey Mousseau, Elliot Mousseau, Jessie-Kate O'Brien and Terrence O'Brien.

A brother, Andrew Kemp, died previously in Greece.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Donations in her memory may be made to Elmore SPCA, C/O Nicholas Angelos, P.O. Box 2627, Plattsburgh, New York 12901.
