Well, actually, what I found out is that on Rootsweb sadie cook is parisadies anness. I found a census in owen co ky in 1860, i think, with polly. well, the rootsweb has a soure of Ohio Co, I think it was, with P A Anness and polly with all these kids and the kids P A Anness may have had from another marriage. that was the 1850 census I think. So i then looked in the 1840 census and found a P A Anness that had three kids and no wife, so that i think that is him. Also, I found Philip A Anness getting grants for Indiana land from Grant Co Ky, which is adjacent to Owen Co. Now I know through the morgan books in Grant co and some censuses that the Hammons were in Grant and Owen co along with the Anness' in Owen co. The Anness' of owen co go back to the establishing of Kentucky in 1810 I think it was but i cannot figure out which one of the Anness' from owen co is the father of P (Philip) A (Alexander) Anness. I think I also found the death record of P A Anness. Weird thing is he is listed as P A Amus with a relative of R Anness I think. So i think they misspelled P A Anness and it was in the adjacent co of Ohio Co. Which I think is when Polly moved back to owen co where her family lived.

I have nothing else. Curious as to what you have. HE may have been born in New York. Their daughter Sadie married Joseph Thomas Cook, who was married one or more times. Some children may have been placed in Children's homes. My email is kwithers@kih.net

George Nelson - and son Adrian W Annes etal

George Nelson Annes - Baptist preacher 1833-1821 d Tacoma Wash. Son Adrian W., Lawyer, Judge, Mayor Windom Minnesota.
He had two sons Lynn H 1894-1943 who died in St Peter State Hospital Minn., and brother George E., who cannot walk. Trying to find out more to their story if possible. I wonder if Lynn was mentally injured in WW 1 - he did fill in his WW 1 resgistration -- but I have no way of knowing if he went but the 1920 & 30 census shows him there [hospital] as a patient. Also there may be another child by Adrian W., and wife -- but I cannot find anything on it.
